The Communications Authority (CA) has revoked the licenses of 15 postal and courier service operators in the country saying the firms have failed to adhere to the laid down regulations. The cancelation of the license comes at a time when the Authority has ramped up efforts to discipline errant courier operators and weed out unlicensed players in the postal and courier business in the Country. In March last year, the communications regulator warned 21 Courier and postal firms that their licenses would be withdrawn within seven days if there were no objections received from the public. “Pursuant to the provisions of the Kenya Information and Communications Act, the Communications Authority of Kenya will revoke the license for the following operators within seven days from the date of this gazette notice,” stated the regulator in its gazette notice.
