Independent presidential aspirant Eliud Muthiora Kiriara has burnt his voter’s card after his bid was rejected by the Independent Electoral Commission (IEBC) over insufficient signatures. A presidential spirant is required by law to present to IEBC at least 2,000 signatures from at least 24 counties each as a pre-nomination requirement. "We've heard people hawking IDs from Harambee House those that have the monopoly of these documents. We chose not to take the short cut. We took the long cut and we fell short. Currently I'm sure you have even seen the schedule that had the names of the Presidential aspirants. It has our details including the phone numbers. That is our private data that is there out in the public," Muthiora lamented as he burnt his card.
