A section of Ukambani leaders has pleaded with Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka to reconsider his decision and rejoin Azimio. Speaking in Machakos town the leaders led by Governors Charity Ngilu of Kitui, Kivutha Kibwana of Makueni and Machakos Gubernatorial aspirant Nzioka Waita, the leaders said Kalonzo should bite the bullet and sacrifice for the sake of the community. “It is a pity for the Kamba community to be out of the next Government just because of an individual’s interest,” said Charity Ngilu. Kalonzo pulled a surprise when he declared his presidential bid in what appeared to be a protest after he failed to clinch the Azimio running mate position. Mrs Ngilu said the community is now at a crossroads and a laughing stock because of the Wiper leader’s move to reject the Chief Minister offer by an ‘incoming’ government.
