She married Howard Watson Farrow in 1956, with whom she had four children: Doug, Kappi, Gordon, and Ellen. In 1971, she married John Nicholas Gehl Jr. (Jack), and together they welcomed two more children, Tim and Liz.

The family relocated to Santa Rosa, California, in 1977 to establish a printing business. This move was pivotal, as it allowed them to grow and thrive in a new environment. Natalie was not only a dedicated mother but also an English High School teacher, contributing significantly to the education of many students.
