Jorrel Hato is projected to start as the first-choice left-back, with Palestra on the opposite flank. Jamie Gittens, who was out for long periods last season with a hamstring problem, has shown good form in the behind-closed-doors matches and will aim to continue his goalscoring in Sydney. Estevao, who missed the Brazil World Cup squad due to a serious hamstring injury, is now fully fit and will start opposite Gittens. Cole Palmer is expected to play in the No. 10 position, with Joao Pedro leading the attack.
