This year’s Met Gala took place on May 5, 2026, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The theme was ‘Fashion is Art’, compelling attendees to draw inspiration from famous artworks.

Heidi Klum made a statement with her outfit inspired by Raffaele Monti’s Veiled Vestal statue. Luke Evans donned a leather ensemble influenced by the iconic artist Tom of Finland. Ben Platt’s suit paid homage to Georges Seurat’s painting A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte.

Hunter Schafer channeled Gustav Klimt’s painting Mäda Primavesi for her look. Gracie Abrams’ dress drew inspiration from Klimt’s portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I. Anne Hathaway wore a gown influenced by John Yeats’ poem Ode on a Grecian Urn.
