Almonty Industries faced uncertainty in the tungsten market before recent developments. Analysts had mixed expectations regarding its future performance.

However, Texas Capital initiated a “Strong Buy” rating for Almonty on April 20, 2026. This marked a decisive moment for the company.

The Sangdong mine in South Korea began operations in mid-March 2026, enhancing Almonty’s position. The processing plant officially opened on April 1, 2026, with an annual ore capacity of approximately 640,000 tons.

Moreover, the tungsten trioxide grade at Sangdong is about 0.51%—three times the global average. This high-grade output significantly boosts Almonty’s appeal to investors.

The APT price surged by 534% year-on-year to $2,250 per MTU. Such increases directly affect Almonty’s profitability and stock performance.

Since the start of the year, Almonty’s stock has risen by 162%. DA Davidson projects full production capacity by Q2 2026, further solidifying investor confidence.

The US government exempted Almonty’s tungsten ores from reciprocity tariffs. This exemption enhances their competitive edge in the market.

Almonty also has approximately $268 million in cash available for expansion plans. This financial strength positions them favorably for future projects.

Oppenheimer raised its price target to $19.00 while B. Riley Financial set it at $23.00. DA Davidson’s target stands at $25.00, reflecting growing optimism among analysts.

Meanwhile, the Gentung-Browns-Lake project in Montana is expected to start in the second half of 2026. This expansion could diversify Almonty’s operations and reduce risks.

Details remain unconfirmed regarding potential partnerships or contracts that may arise from this momentum. Yet, Almonty’s trajectory appears promising as it navigates this dynamic landscape.
