Barcola has also been linked with Liverpool. During the previous season, Barcola did not start in PSG’s major matches, including the Champions League quarter-finals against Liverpool, the semi-finals against Bayern Munich, and the final against Arsenal in Budapest. Players like Kvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembele, and Desire Doue were preferred starters in those fixtures.
