Lazio’s manager Maurizio Sarri is demanding at least four new signings to bolster the squad amid a challenging season. The call for reinforcements comes as Lazio sits ninth in Serie A, 11 points behind sixth-placed Como.

In their last match, Lazio secured a 2-0 victory against Napoli. They also triumphed on penalties against Atalanta in the Coppa Italia. Yet, the team struggles with consistency, having not beaten Udinese at home since December 2019.

Udinese arrives at Stadio Olimpico after suffering a 1-0 loss against Parma. They have three victories, five defeats, and two draws in their last ten league games. Both teams have faced difficulties this season, with Lazio awarded more red cards than any other team in Serie A.

Lazio’s confirmed lineup includes Edoardo Motta, Manuel Lazzari, and Matteo Cancellieri. Meanwhile, Udinese features Maduka Okoye, Nicolo Zaniolo, and Idrissa Gueye. Zaniolo has made an impact with four assists for Udinese this campaign.

Statistically, Lazio has maintained 49.9% possession in their last ten league games. In contrast, Udinese has covered the Asian Handicap line of +0.5 in four consecutive away games. This trend suggests they could be competitive against Lazio.

The last encounter between these teams ended in a 1-1 draw at Stadio Friuli. Both clubs will look to build on their recent performances as they aim to secure valuable points.

As the transfer window approaches, Sarri expects management to satisfy his demands if he is to remain committed to the club’s future. He stated that only two Serie A teams have scored more penalty goals than Udinese this campaign.

Lazio will take on Inter Milan in the Coppa Italia final on May 13. This match could be pivotal for Sarri as he evaluates his squad’s potential heading into next season.
