The graduation of eight new pilots significantly enhances the operational capacity of the Kenya Air Force. The ceremony took place on April 30, 2026, at Laikipia Air Base. This event marks a key milestone in the country’s military aviation training programme.
The Kenya Air Force graduated eight new fixed-wing pilots who completed the Ab-initio Course ACE 05. The course began in March 2022 and included intensive ground instruction and flight training. Senior officers, instructors, service members, and families attended the ceremony.
Bernard Waliaula presided over the graduation. He emphasized that aviation demands uncompromising standards. Douglas Muthuri stated that the graduates are fully prepared for deployment into active service units.
This graduation represents a strategic investment in strengthening Kenya’s air power capability. It aims to enhance national defence by preparing pilots for various combat scenarios. Teamwork in air operations was a critical focus during their training.
